Thanks for writing this beautiful piece, Walid. Much as the game industry is criticised - rightly so - for getting representation wrong, or resorting to lazy stereotypes... it's nice to see examples where developers have listened, and raised their consciousness.

I've always thought of gaming as a hobby that can actually bring people together, rather than divide them. Your article is a good example of how developers can really work to foster that environment for players.
