I can understand some cases where a game is tricky to play now due to its graphical presentation. But having said that, I also think variety is the spice of life - I'd hate for all video games to look the same, both in terms of aesthetic design and graphics tech.
It's one reason why I'm perpetually bored by those "Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine" demos. I mean, I get that the tech bump kinda wows people - but man, do those demos lose all the charm and whimsy of the original art design. They are, in some sense, a solution in search of a problem.
